This Privacy Policy explains what data Quick Chat collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep the footprint minimal: only the data needed for core features, optional sync, analytics, crash diagnostics, purchases, and ads (free tier only).
2. Data We Collect
Input Data
Phone numbers and optional message text you enter. Stored locally in history; synced only if you sign in.
Account
Google UID, email, display name, avatar (from Google Sign-In) for sync & purchase association.
Templates & History
Message templates and opened chat history if cloud sync enabled. Local storage via Hive; remote via Firestore.
Purchases
Product identifiers, entitlement state, and transaction tokens (no full payment details) via Google Play Billing.
Analytics
Anonymized usage events (feature toggles, counts) via Firebase Analytics; no personal message content.
Crashes & Stability
Crash stack traces, device model, OS version via Firebase Crashlytics.
Ads (Free)
Advertising identifiers & basic context used by Google Mobile Ads SDK (if ads enabled).
Device
Non-personal device info (locale, version) to tailor experience (e.g., formatting phone numbers).
No contact list, precise location, or background tracking is collected.
3. How We Use Data
- Launch chats without saving new contacts.
- Sync templates/history across devices when signed in.
- Verify and deliver premium entitlements.
- Improve reliability (crash diagnostics) and usability (aggregated analytics).
- Show ads to free users; remove ads for premium.
4. Local vs Cloud
- Local (Device Only): History & templates (unless sync active), cached preferences.
- Cloud (If Signed In): History & templates for sync, entitlement status, minimal profile.
5. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics)
- Google Play Billing
- Google Mobile Ads (if ads enabled)
- Hive (local on-device database)
These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
6. Retention
- Local data: Until you clear or uninstall.
- Synced data: Until you delete it or request deletion.
- Crash & analytics: Per Firebase default retention windows.
7. Your Choices
- Clear history/templates in the app.
- Sign out to stop cloud sync.
- Upgrade to remove ads.
- Request data deletion or export via email.
8. Security
All network calls use HTTPS. Sensitive signing keys stay offline. We apply least-data principles.
9. Children
Not directed to children under 13. If we learn we inadvertently stored data from a child, we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will update the date above. Continued use after changes signifies acceptance.
